Mr Johnny Heng PBM

Mr Heng is a Managing Director and the Chief Client Officer in the Wealth Management Division (Asia ex-Japan) of Nomura.

He is responsible for the business operations of the Singapore and Hong Kong wealth management teams in the delivery of bespoke wealth management solutions to the firm's clients in non-Japan Asia.

He was previously a Managing Director in Coutts & Company, the wealth division of Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was the Head of Investment Services in Asia and the Deputy Chairman for Coutts Institute in South Asia. The Coutts Institute provided advice on philanthropy, family governance, wealth and business succession planning, and next generation development.

Prior to that, he was a Managing Director in Credit Suisse Private Bank, where he headed investment consulting teams for Ultra-High Networth Individuals and Family Offices. Before joining Credit Suisse, he was working with one of the largest family investment offices in Singapore where he was responsible for asset allocation and investments.

From 1996 to 2007, Mr Heng was with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation where he worked in London and New York during his first seven years. He was the Head of Quantitative Equities Division as well as Head of Global Equities Trading Division. Mr Heng started his career in 1995 as a foreign exchange dealer in the former Union Bank of Switzerland.

He is active in community activities in Singapore. He is Chairman of the Citizens' Consultative Committee in Moulmein-Cairnhill constituency and Chairman of Gan Eng Seng School Advisory Committee.

He obtained his first degree from the National University of Singapore with an Economics major. He holds a Masters of Finance from Baruch College, City University of New York. He completed the Asian Financial Leaders' Programme jointly held by Singapore Management University and Singapore's Temasek Management Services.
