This programme was started in 1987 to support the healthcare programmes that the NKF has established for the care of kidney failure patients. It provides donors with the option to donate a small gift every month through Inter Bank GIRO or credit card.
Every gesture matters to our kidney patients.
SGD $40 provides a patient with grocery vouchers to purchase daily necessities
SGD $25 supports a patient with an Artificial Kidney (A.K.) to filter waste and excess fluids for 1 week
SGD $10 supplies our malnourished patient with 1 week of nutritional supplements
How do I donate to LifeDrops?
You can contribute through GIRO or credit card. However, we prefer donations through GIRO, as it helps us to cut down on administrative costs.
When is the activation date for LifeDrops?
It will take approximately a month for the bank to facilitate your donations. We will send you an acknowledgement letter to notify you of your first deduction.
What are the tax benefits?
You will be entitled to a tax deduction of 2.5 times the amount of donations, which means that for every $1 you give, $2.50 will be deducted from your taxable income. Please note that if you prefer your donations to be automatically included in your tax assessment, you need to provide your NRIC/FIN number.
What happens if there are insufficient funds in my account?
You can reach us at 1800-KIDNEYS (5436397) or at firstname.lastname@example.org to make a special arrangement for the deduction date. You can also call this number for any other questions that you may have.
