With the strong support of many caring people, NKF 50th Anniversary Charity Dinner raised over $1.1 million from table sales, auctions and outright donations. The funds will go towards providing quality treatment and care for kidney patients, and upstream efforts in education and prevention of kidney diseases to curb the onset of kidney failure.
NKF also took the opportunity to thank four caring donors – The Sirivadhanabhakdi Foundation, Lew Foundation, San Wang Wu Ti Religious Society and Mr Ngiam Kia Hum & Family – for sponsoring the costs of establishing and renovating our new and existing dialysis centres amounting to $9.3 million.
Since our inception in 1969, more than 10,000 kidney patients’ lives have been saved and the immeasurable difference made to kidney patients and their families because of the support of a caring community. To commemorate 50 years of Giving Life & Hope together with the community, we will be organising NKF50 Charity Dinner on 31 May 2019 at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. The Guest-of-Honour is Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade and Industry.
Through this milestone celebration, we aim to not only reaffirm our mission by continuing to partner with the community to provide sustainable, quality and holistic renal care for patients, but also to raise awareness on kidney disease and its prevention.
Guests can look forward to an enlightening evening where gourmet meets the arts and fine entertainment. There will also be intriguing live & silent auction segments and all funds raised from this event will benefit our patients.
Together, we can make this celebration truly amazing, memorable and meaningful. Together, let us continue to give life and hope.
