“Because of you, dad!”

Kidney transplant provides kidney failure patients the best long-term survival and quality of life. It is the most optimal solution to kidney failure. The transplanted kidney can substitute almost fully the lost functions of the failed kidneys and it usually begins to function right away, thus allowing the patient to lead a normal life. Cadaveric donations alone will not be sufficient to have a significant impact on the long waiting list for an organ. We hope more people will come forward to give their loved ones with kidney failure a new lease of life through living donations by family members and relatives of patients.

56-year-old Mr Mohamad Ali Haji Salleh, gave his kidney to his 27-year-old daughter, Madam Nurul Jannah. Thanks to her father, Nurul says,
“I can go out and live life again.”
