A bowling tournament was organised for this year’s Renal Community Games on 8 May 2016 at JForte Sportainment Centre. 200 people engaged in the Games that brought the renal care community together for a day of sports and bonding with kidney health educational booths for the public. A special tribute was given to all mothers to celebrate Mother’s Day! Our congratulations to National Healthcare Group represented by Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and B. Braun for winning the Leisure and Wacky segments respectively as well as TTSH for winning in the Top Female & Male Bowlers categories.
Renal Community Games Kicks Off!
The inaugural Renal Community Games kicked off with a friendly Futsal Tournament on 25 October 2015 at Kovan Sports Centre. The Games aims to foster closer bonds among people in the renal community and together as one, reach out to the public to encourage healthy living through education and prevention of kidney disease. Participating organisations include restructured hospitals as well as healthcare and dialysis providers. 200 people comprising players, supporters and people from all walks of life joined in the fun and excitement which included a health carnival with health booths on kidney health education. Our heartiest congratulations to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital & National Organ Transplant Unit for winning the Leisure & Wacky segments respectively! More such sporting and educational events through the Games are being planned to promote a healthy lifestyle in the community.
