The Venerable Yen Pei-NKF Research Fund is available specifically for research in kidney diseases. The NKF Research Committee, currently helmed by Professor A. Vathsala, Head & Senior Consultant, Dept of Medicine, Nephrology, National University Hospital, was set up in 2007 to administer the Fund to ensure good stewardship and accountability for the way the fund is spent in research.
The Venerable Yen Pei-NKF Research Fund 16th Grant call is now open. The deadline for submission of research proposals is 17th March 2017. As per previous grant call, only research projects focusing on prevention of kidney diseases/failure will be considered for this grant call.
The Research proposals are open to only Singaporeans and Permanent Residents. Every research proposal must be affiliated with an institution. The Research funding could be applied for one to three years with a capped amount of $150,000 for the three years.

All researchers will have to abide by the guidelines and the application form must be duly submitted. Areas of research would be clinical and translational research that are of renal or renal-related projects, focusing on prevention of kidney disease/ failure. If the research has relevance to NKF activities, the proposal/s would be considered as well.
